RichFaces Wait Dialog

without comments

This post presents a so-called wait dialog using RichFaces 4. The purpose of the dialog is to act as a visual cue that a process is running and to wait while the process executes.

In web development, such a dialog is often presented when the form is submitted.

The code below describes a typical submit button. The “onclick” keyword is used to present the dialog above which is identified as “id-busy” by its id keyword (id=”id-busy”). Once clicked, the even will show the dialog. When the process completes (oncomplete) the dialog will be hidden from view.

Shown below is an image of the dialog as presented on a web-page.
